The idea of ​​creating a picosecond laser was to remove tattoos (black and colored, which are poorly removed by classical lasers) and permanent makeup.

HOW DOES A PICOSECOND LASER WORK?

Asclepion PICO STAR is a type of photoacoustic laser. It generates ultra-short pulses (one trillionth of a second).
The wavelength is from 532 nm to 1064 nm. This allows the doctor to distribute the laser energy at different depths and the required concentration.
The fundamental difference between rejuvenation with a picosecond laser and ablative/fractional resurfacing on CO2 is that PICO STAR pulses are absorbed by cells almost instantly. Skin cells do not have time to warm up. They quickly expand and break up into tiny particles.
